Hi, I’m Khaldeiah!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy.

Taking the first step to seeking out support can be challenging but creating a space where you can feel comfortable in exploring what is happening for you is my first priority. My approach to therapy is grounded in an understanding that we all have the inherent capacity to move through the challenges we face. I like to foster an environment where I lead with compassion and curiosity, while we explore parts of self you would like to grow or move through. I work authentically, while incorporating therapeutic understandings and skills to best support your hopes.

It is not uncommon to feel bound by expectations. Socially constructed messages about life trajectories and ways of being are instilled from larger systems, as well as those around us.  I strive in my work to support an exploration of these expectations in hopes of supporting you to live your life genuinely and freely.

As a couple and family therapist, I understand the importance of relationships. Innately we are social beings that seek out connections. At times, we may feel disconnected, or caught in patterns of interactions that create barriers in allowing for the degree of connection or intimacy we desire. In my role, I support the exploration of patterns of interactions through an understanding of deeper emotions and hopes for the relationship. I maintain my position as someone who can hold space for the lived experiences of all involved, while also focussing on ways to invite the change you hope to see in your relationships.

In my work I take an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed approach. In addition, working from a queer-positive and sex-positive perspective. I hold space for ways in which systems of oppression influence individual lives and explore these through a client-centered and strength-based approach.

What your experiencing is not static; we are constantly evolving and growing, and I would be honoured to be a part of your journey.
