Sessions During Covid-19

Wonderful Clients, 

Considering having your session in the office? Here is how we are handling in-person sessions during the pandemic: 

  • In person sessions will be a limited offering. Please check with your therapist to see if they are offering in-person sessions, first. Each clinician who offers sessions in-person will make the determination which clients are able to be seen in-person. We will continue to follow all public health and regulatory college guidelines when determining need for in-person appointments.
     

  • Masks are mandatory.  If your therapist finds that you would benefit from in-person appointments, you agree to wear a mask which would cover your nose, mouth, and chin. Equally, you agree to wear the mask for the entire time you are in the building. Lastly, you acknowledge the inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 that in-person appointments bring, and are willing to take that risk voluntarily. 
     

  • Before each appointment you will receive a Covid-19 screening questionnaire via email, (approximately two hours before your appointment), which must be filled out for in-person appointments only. If you happen to receive the screening questionnaire for your online appointment, feel free to ignore. This screening questionnaire will determine whether or not we can safely proceed with our in-person appointment or if we have to either reschedule or move to online. Again, this must be filled out before each in-person appointment until further notice. 

                   

  • During the pandemic we ask that you enter the waiting room no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. While waiting for your window to enter the building opens, please wait outside/in your car until such time. The reception area of the office is available for those with appointments only as a means to reduce exposure to others. 
     

  • While waiting in your car/outside of the building, it would be helpful for you to let us know that you have arrived. You may do so by checking into your appointment by visiting our website and clicking the "Meeting in person? Check-in" button at the top of this website. You may also choose to bookmark this site and visit it on your mobile phone. Lastly, there will also be a sign on the front door to the building with a QR code for you to scan with your mobile phone. This QR code will also let you check-in. 
     

  • In between each session, we will be thoroughly disinfecting the space and preparing it for our safe use. Therefore, sessions must end promptly to ensure proper time to sanitize and disinfect the space. 
     

  • Once inside, before settling into the office space, clients are asked to sanitize their hands with the provided sanitizer. Again, clients are required to wear masks for the duration of the session. 

     

As the pandemic continues to develop, we will all need to remain diligent and adaptable. To that end, any changes that are made to the practice will be announced here and on social media platforms. It is our hope that we are able to transition back into some form of in-person interaction for a longer lasting period of time.
