At Relationship Matters Therapy Centre, we genuinely love what we do! We are a systemic and relationally oriented clinic, and we love to continuously enhance our clinical skills and knowledge. We are a psychotherapy clinic that offers comprehensive support for individuals, couples and families. We particularly specialize in relational therapy, and also offer high calibre therapy to individuals that are struggling with various presenting concerns.

Therapist Associate
​
Position Summary
​

You will be working in a private practice capacity as an independent contractor
-
You will be delivering psychotherapy in accordance with the regulations of the College you are registered with
-
Client referrals are provided by Relationship Matters Therapy Centre
-
Opportunities to run support groups and workshops
-
Availability for at least one evening or one weekend shift

Qualifications and Requirements
​
-
Doctoral or Masters level education in Couple and Family Therapy, Counselling, or equivalent
-
Registered member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario or equivalent
-
Have/Obtain valid professional liability insurance
-
Have a strong understanding of professional ethics, codes of conduct and professional standards of practice
-
Strong case conceptualization skills, and organized case management skills (i.e., treatment planning, note taking, etc.)

Assets
​
-
Systemic therapy training and anti-oppressive approach
-
Trained in Couple, Family and Sex therapy
-
Training in CBT, DBT, EFT, Gottman Method, Narrative, SFT, and/or Internal Family Systems
-
Specialized training in trauma and/or addiction therapy such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and Structural Dissociation
-
Availability on evenings and/or weekends

Hours of work
​
Total hours of work are undetermined as hours will be based on client numbers and referrals. Additionally, you have flexibility in being able to set a schedule that works for you!
​
Job Types: Full-time (20-24 clinical hours), Part-time (1-19 clinical hours), contract

Covid-19 Considerations:
​
The Therapist Associate role is available online and in-person at our office in Cambridge, Ontario. Please note, the office location is not an accessible space. When in the office, Covid-19 procedures are in place to ensure everyone's collective health and wellbeing. Currently these procedures include: mandatory mask use for clients and therapists, 2 meter distancing, and constant sanitation practices.
