A Bit About Me
Hi, I'm Carling!
I co-founded Relationship Matters Therapy Centre with the intention of building a place where people can work on healing themselves and their relationships. By design, we are social beings, and feeling well connected to others is integral to a fulfilling life. I am passionate about supporting clients in accessing their genuine selves and deep, healthy connections.
Clients feeling safe to be themselves is my top priority. I truly believe in the healing power of authenticity and how this helps us move in healthy and effective directions. I work diligently to ensure that every client feels safe and comfortable to be vulnerable in our work together. To me, vulnerability and authenticity are essential for an effective therapeutic experience.
I have been providing therapy since 2014 and greatly enjoyed my previous role at an HIV Support and Transgender Health Clinic. I work from a systemic, queer, and feminist-informed stance that takes into account how oppression and cultural factors influence clients' lives and progress towards their goals.
Beyond addressing immediate concerns, I also support clients in reaching their personal development aspirations. I assist clients in navigating career transitions, fostering deeper self-awareness, cultivating self-confidence, and establishing healthier routines.
Ultimately, I aim to help clients access more joy, fulfillment, and authenticity in their personal lives and relationships.
