A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Madison.
As a therapist, and a human, I get how life can be really tough sometimes.
I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and judgement-free space where you can be fully yourself,
and where even the parts of your experience that feel confusing, overwhelming, or hard to talk
about can be explored with curiosity and compassion.
Together, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface and help you begin to relate to
yourself and others in more preferred ways. I hold deep respect for your lived experiences, and
a belief that therapy is about relationships, including your relationship with yourself, your
emotions, your experiences, and the people in your life. I support you in making sense of what
feels complicated, identifying what matters most to you, and exploring ways forward that feel
grounded and authentic.
Therapy with me is relational, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I
show up as a real person in the room, grounded, engaged, present, imperfect, and alongside
you in the work. I believe change and healing happen within relationship when you feel truly
seen, understood, and not alone in what you are carrying. I also bring honesty, warmth, and
humour into sessions when it feels natural and supportive.
My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and integrative. I draw from narrative,
dialogic, and emotion-focused therapies, while integrating various techniques from various
other modalities such as solution-focused therapy, internal family systems, and acceptance and
commitment therapy. All in all, I tailor my work to best serve you and what you find supportive.
I work with individuals, couples, and families. In my work with couples and families, I focus on
helping people understand the patterns they get caught in together and create space for new
ways of relating. This includes supporting partners through conflict or disconnection, and
working with parents, children, and adolescents to strengthen connection and understanding.
I have a passion for helping you leave therapy feeling more connected, more compassionate,
and more confident. I see therapy as a space to reflect, get curious, untangle what feels
complicated, reconnect with inner strengths, cultivate compassionate understanding, and ignite
preferred ways of being
I know that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to handling things on
your own. A willingness to begin is a first courageous and meaningful step toward living the life
you desire and deserve.
